1. Who is responsible for your personal information
The entity responsible for this website and for any personal information handled through it is:
Celinopex s.r.o.
Zenklova 24/54, Libeň, 180 00 Praha 8, Czech Republic
Company number: 11833262
VAT: CZ11833262
Email: info@synthworks.online
Celinopex s.r.o. publishes Synthworks Online and is the data controller for the purposes of European law and the entity accountable under the Australian Privacy Principles for information handled through this site.
2. What is collected
Three categories exist, and there is no fourth.
2.1 Nothing is collected by the website itself
This site contains no forms and no input fields of any kind. There is no newsletter, no account, no quiz, no survey, no chat widget and no download requiring registration. It sets no cookies. It uses no localStorage, no sessionStorage and no other browser storage. It runs no analytics, no advertising tags, no conversion pixels and no third-party scripts. It loads no fonts, scripts, stylesheets or images from any external host. You cannot submit personal information to this website, because there is nothing to submit it through.
2.2 Server logs kept by the hosting provider
Like any website, this one is served by a hosting provider whose web server records ordinary request logs. Those logs contain: the IP address the request came from, the browser's user agent string, the URL requested, the date and time of the request, the HTTP response code, and the referring address if the browser sent one. These records are produced by the server software, not by anything on the pages.
2.3 Whatever you choose to put in an email
If you write to info@synthworks.online, the publisher receives your email address, the content of your message, and anything else you decide to include. That is entirely within your control, and a message that omits personal details is usually sufficient.
3. Why each category is handled, and on what basis
| Category | Purpose | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Server logs | Keeping the site available, diagnosing faults, and identifying abuse such as automated attacks. | The legitimate interests of the publisher in operating and securing its own website. No consent basis is relied on, because no cookies or tracking technologies are used. |
| Email correspondence | Reading and replying to what you sent. | Your own act of sending it, and the publisher's legitimate interest in responding to correspondence. |
Neither category is used for marketing, profiling, automated decision-making or advertising. Neither is sold, rented or licensed to anyone.
4. How long information is kept
- Server logs: retained for up to 30 days in the ordinary course, after which they are overwritten or deleted by the hosting provider's rotation process. A specific log entry may be kept longer if it forms part of an active investigation into abuse or a security incident, and is deleted when that investigation concludes.
- Email correspondence: retained for up to 24 months from the last message in the exchange, so that a continuing matter can be traced, then deleted. Correspondence you ask to have deleted sooner is deleted on request unless it must be retained for a legal claim.
5. Who else receives information
Two parties, and only in the ways described.
The hosting provider. Operating a website necessarily means a hosting provider processes requests and generates the logs described above. The provider acts on the publisher's instructions and is not permitted to use the information for its own purposes.
The email provider. Messages sent to the address above are received and stored by an ordinary email service on the publisher's behalf.
No other third party receives anything. No analytics provider, advertising network, data broker, social platform or content delivery network is involved, because none is used. No font service is used: this site loads no external fonts. Affiliate links on this site are ordinary links — following one is a request your browser makes to the destination site, which is then governed by that site's own privacy policy, not this one. No information about you is transmitted to a vendor by this site.
5.1 Cross-border disclosure (Australian Privacy Principle 8)
The publisher is established in the Czech Republic and its hosting and email infrastructure is located outside Australia. If you are in Australia, handling your personal information — including the server logs generated by your visit and any email you send — involves disclosure to recipients outside Australia, in the European Union and potentially in other countries where those service providers operate infrastructure. By using this site or writing to the address above, you should understand that the information is handled outside Australia and that Australian Privacy Principle 8 applies to that disclosure. The publisher takes reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle the information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
6. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and the server is encrypted in transit. Access to the mailbox and to hosting accounts is restricted to the publisher and protected by multi-factor authentication. Because the site collects nothing, there is no database of reader information to protect — which is the most effective security measure available and the reason it was chosen.
7. Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you may request access to personal information held about you, and ask for it to be corrected if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. In practice, the only information likely to exist is email correspondence you sent.
Requests go to info@synthworks.online and are answered within 30 days. If you are dissatisfied with the response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, which explains its complaints process on its own site. Raising the matter with the publisher first is the usual expectation, but it is not a condition of your right to complain.
8. Notifiable data breaches
If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm to an individual whose personal information is involved, the publisher will assess it and, where the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 applies, notify the affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by that scheme.
9. Children
This site is not directed at people under 16, contains no content aimed at children, and collects nothing from any visitor regardless of age. No age verification is performed because there is no collection to gate.
10. European and United Kingdom law
Celinopex s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, so the General Data Protection Regulation applies to its processing; the UK GDPR applies equivalently to readers in the United Kingdom.
The legal basis relied on is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f): operating and securing the website, and responding to correspondence. No consent basis is relied on, because this site sets no cookies and uses no tracking technologies, so there is nothing requiring consent. No special category data is processed, and no automated decision-making or profiling takes place.
Where the GDPR applies, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing based on legitimate interests. You may exercise any of them by writing to info@synthworks.online. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, which for the publisher's establishment is the Office for Personal Data Protection in the Czech Republic, and which may alternatively be the authority in your own country of residence or workplace.
11. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version is published on this page with a new effective date, and the substance of the change is described in the text rather than made silently. If the site ever introduces cookies, tracking or any form of data collection, this policy and the cookie policy will be updated and any required consent mechanism put in place before the change goes live — not afterwards.
