Synthworks Online is published by Celinopex s.r.o., a company registered in the Czech Republic. The publisher's details are stated in full here, on the contact page, in the privacy policy and in the footer of every page on this site.

What the site is, in one paragraph

A reference library covering consumer security subscriptions: what the components of such a subscription do, how their usefulness changes between Android, iOS and Windows, how the subscription pricing pattern works over time, and which Australian public bodies handle which kind of problem. It covers one commercial product in detail, and it says so on the page where that product appears.

What it is not

It is not the official site of any product mentioned on it, nor a partner, reseller or authorised source for one. It is not a news publication and carries no reporting. It publishes no personal accounts, no user reviews and no testimonials. It is not a download site and hosts no software. It sells nothing directly and takes no payment from readers.

The editorial method, stated plainly

How this site decides what to cover, and in what order, is determined by two things, and the first of them is commercial.

Coverage depth follows the commercial relationship. Celinopex s.r.o. has an affiliate arrangement with TotalAV, and TotalAV is therefore the product written about in depth. A reader is entitled to know that before reading a word about the product, which is why the disclosure sits above the product section rather than beneath it. This library is a detailed account of one option within a category — not a survey of the market, and it does not describe itself as one.

Everything else follows rules that do not bend for the sponsor. Claims about a product come only from what its vendor states; where the vendor is silent, the page records the silence rather than filling it. General claims about risk, law, rights or regulators link to the body that says it. No test results, ratings, scores, badges or awards appear anywhere, because this publisher runs no tests and reprinting untested figures would be misleading. The test applied to every page before it is published is whether it would still be worth reading with every paid link deleted. Pages that fail it are not published.

Authorship

Pages here are written and maintained by the Celinopex s.r.o. editorial team. No individual bylines appear on this site, and no personal profiles, photographs or job titles are published, because inventing them is a common practice in this category and a dishonest one. Responsibility for everything on the site rests with the company named above.

What the site collects about you

Nothing. There is no form anywhere on this site, no newsletter, no account, no quiz and no chat widget. It sets no cookies, uses no local storage, and runs no analytics, advertising tags or third-party scripts of any kind. No consent banner appears because there is nothing to consent to. The privacy policy and cookie policy describe that position exactly, rather than describing practices that do not happen here.

Why an Australian focus

Consumer rights, privacy law and reporting channels are national, and generic international advice is close to useless at the point where a reader needs to act. Pages here refer to the ACCC for consumer law, the OAIC for privacy, the ACSC for cyber security guidance, Scamwatch for scam reporting and the eSafety Commissioner for online safety, and describe each only in the role it actually holds.

Accuracy and corrections

Product details change and pages age. Every page carries a review date in the footer, and every page about a product directs readers to confirm the current position with the vendor before paying for anything. Standing position on claims

Under the Australian Consumer Law, misleading or deceptive conduct in trade is enforceable against the party that engaged in it, and a publisher carrying paid links is such a party. Every claim on this site is therefore treated as one the publisher must be able to defend, which is the practical reason the pages here are cautious about numbers and specific about sources.
